June 2024: What We Give Our Attention to, Grows

June 2024What We Give Our Attention to, Grows

Dear Agents of Evolution,

Summer is here and I am fully available for sessions! I would love to work with as many of the readers of this newsletter as possible during the summer as I think life will get a little more chaotic this fall around presidential elections in the U.S. so let's do the more reflective work of Vedic Astrology during relatively calmer seas!

Now June would be a great month to dream about what goodness you want to grow in your life the rest of this year, as the planets will lend a nice growth spurt to whatever you put your attention to this month!

June Astro Weather Highlights

June 1

Mars moves into Sidereal Aries, lunar sign Ashwini

(just after Mercury conjoined Uranus on May 30)

From Trot to Gallop

The doors burst open on June with some fresh, new energy and ideas. We're feeling like we want some adventure, some excitement, some fun! With all the planets in direct motion and no major aspects, there's not much stopping us from having that fun.

We're also quickly receiving inspiration for some great healing applications for our own, individual evolutionary journeys. We may need to work with any self-pity creeping in, but if we can allow ourselves to reclaim our childlike feelings of exuberance in pursuing our most fully expressed lives, we can find our courage to move forward again despite any dejection coming from the past.

Wherever we haven't yet learned to balance our own personal expression of Mars (our passion, ambition, desire...) Mars in Aries also carries with it the strong potential for aggression to escalate "from zero to sixty" as a response to irritation, annoyance, and fear. So set an intention now, to watch these precursors to aggression as they arise, and choose a response, rather than react.

June 1-3

Jupiter Pluto Trine

Support from Powerful Places

This weekend might bring in some welcome support from influential teachers, allies, mentors, advisors, especially if the planets or angles in your birth chart are activated in a significant way. Jupiter transits plant the seed of the opportunity, and then it's up to us to nurture the growth of that seed. Pay attention to opportunities for support and assistance these first few days of June.

June 2-6

Venus and Sun conjoined

Delight

This day helps each of us notice how we are adored by life, each other, our communities, and the Earth. If we can practice not comparing ourselves to others, not trying to imitate others but loving ourselves for our own uniqueness, we will capture the delight offered by this day.

June 4

Mercury conjoins Jupiter (and the Moon)

Clarity and Optimism

This is a day for expanding our communications out to a wider community, sharing ideas and inspiring one another with our optimism and understanding of whatever's being discussed. It may be that conversations begin to bring clarity in areas where confusion, self-doubt, or lack of confidence was previously prevalent.

June 6

New Moon in Rohini

Delight

With Venus and Mercury also in the same lunar sign as this New Moon, this lunation is a time to sow the seeds of delight. What activities let you enjoy yourself? Bring more of those activities into the month of June.

I will offer another set of insights on this New Moon on Instagram.

June 16

Neptune square Venus & Mercury

Inspiration

Maybe the awakening of creative inspiration or altruism through travel, or possibly the desire to not have to think so much, this day may feel a little dreamy or hazy, depending on how your chart deals with the challenging square aspect of this transit. It could be that a disappointment with travel or social plans yields just the space-out-and-watch-the-grass-grow relaxation time you need.

June 21

Full Moon in Mula

The Root of the Issue

The Full Moon here promises to reveal the root of our identity issues. We may have created so many viable options for ourselves that it's hard to choose between them all. This Full Moon should get to the bottom of what's really at stake in choosing any option, potentially clarifying the best choice to make.

I will offer a more detailed summary of this Full Moon on Instagram.

June 29

Saturn stations retrograde (assumes direct motion again Nov. 15)

Integration

Saturn has been making his way through some pretty heavy territory the past few months requiring us to attend to the healing work needed in our lives, traveling first through the sign of Shatabhisha, and then Purva Bhadrapada. On this Saturday he does an about face and begins to retrace his steps over that same terrain, asking us to integrate all the hard work of healing that has been done recently. This is a chance to slow down on the social action front, rest rather than initiate, revisit recent collaborations, and gather strength for the road ahead (especially fall's lead up to the presidential election in the U.S.)
