Aditi is a mom to two college aged young men, and while they were still under her roof she developed a thriving food business called "Calcutta Kitchens" that bottled East Indian "simmer sauces" – a sauce base that busy people could use to create quick, nutritious, and flavorful meals.
In addition to raising her two boys and creating Calcutta Kitchens, Aditi has worked in the realm of food equity, helping to develop a culinary training program in a commercial kitchen in Bridgeport, CT that trains unemployed and underemployed for work in the food industry. Aditi's work on the ground floor of this project has left a legacy of better nutrition awareness, better access to food skills for underserved populations, and less food waste through statewide partnerships.
